Drop Spindle Workshop

Do you knit, crochet, or weave?  Have you thought about making your own yarn?  Most people believe that you need a spinning wheel to make yarn.  The truth is that people were making yarn for 20,000 years before spinning wheels were invented, using a simple tool called a hand spindle.  Spindles are inexpensive, portable, and a great way to make your own yarn.   Students will learn the basics of spinning, while I “spin some yarns” about the history of this ancient art and be able to take home some wool and a spindle.

Registration Deadline: Wednesday, April 26 at 12:00 PM
