Early Childhood Camps

 

Summer Camp 2018

HOURS:  9 am-4:30 pm, with extended care offered from 7:45 am-8:45 am, and 4:45 pm-5:45 pm.

FEES: $160 members/ $170 non-members Extended Care: $8 per day/ $35 per week

AGES: 4- 5 year old children who have not yet entered Kindergarten

LUNCH & SNACK: Campers should bring a packed lunch, 2-3 snacks, and a water bottle.

WATER DAY: Every Friday we ask campers to wear simple clothes and a bathing suit as we will have water play. Campers will have time to dry before they leave for the day.

We understand that changes arise in scheduling and therefore allow for one change in date and time no less than 2 weeks prior to the camp date. A $25 administrative fee for program date/time change is applied to any change made in addition to the allowed change, or one that is less than 2 weeks prior.

SUMMER CAMP THEMES

How to Register for Multiple Camp Weeks Online

June 4-8, 2018-  Speckles, Dots, Spots and Stripes: Campers will explore how colors, shapes and other characteristics help animals hide and survive through games, outdoor play and crafts.  REGISTER HERE

June 11-15, 2018- Edible Tales: This camp is all about the farm. The recipes prepared have been approved by the Museum’s very own farm animals. We will be making some fun farm enrichment projects for the animals as well as crafts. REGISTER HERE

June 18-22, 2018- Space, Sun and Star Power: Campers will go where no kid has gone before! We will explore the power of the sun, make a sundial , sun-dried treats and learn all about stars and meteors. REGISTER HERE

June 25-29, 2018- Magical Mammals: We will learn all about the mammals that live on the Museum grounds as well as visit the animal kitchen to see what’s on the menu?  Can you name the only marsupial that lives in North America and at the museum? We will have fun, investigating, crafting, hiking and just old fashioned playing.  REGISTER HERE

July 2-6, 2018- This Class Is For The Birds (No campWednesday due to the holiday. Camp fee is prorated):  See how many beautiful birds live in our area. We will learn about a couple of very fun different feathered friends and make some fun treats. REGISTER HERE

July 9-13, 2018- Nature Can Get Sticky: Campers will enjoy learning about slimy worms, sticky webs, animal tongues and create some concoctions that will leave their hands ooey, gooey, sticky! REGISTER HERE

July 16-20, 2018- B-utiful Adventures: Each day campers will have a new adventure that starts with the letter B.” Be There or Be square”. REGISTER HERE

July 23-27, 2018- Cool Ice Age Adventures: We will stay cool learning all about the animals that roamed our through our area during the Ice Age. We will create a book full of fun textures, play and enjoy the museum resources. REGISTER HERE

July 30-August 3, 2018- Wonderful Water: Campers will have fun learning about the animals that live in fresh and saltwater. We will make a t-shirt  with a real fish using the Japanese art form of Gyotaku and end the week with a water party.  REGISTER HERE
