Beginning Blacksmith Workshop

$200 members / $250 nonmembers

This two day beginning blacksmith workshop will be held at the Museum’s smithy with instructor Michael Murphy, the Museum’s part-time resident blacksmith.  Class hours are Saturday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday 9:00 am o 5:00 pm. This workshop will be for people with little to no blacksmith experience.  Each person will have the opportunity to work with the traditional coal burning forge, as well as the more modern propane-burning forge.  Materials will be provided and participants may take their creations with them at the end of the day.

Registration deadline: Wednesday, May 24, 2017 by noon.

Age requirement: 15 years and older.  Participants who are under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
