In this multi-part series, the Tallahassee Museum presents The Museum Files—lectures in criminal justice, forensics, behavioral profiling, police investigation, myths, legends, and unsolved crimes.


The Science of Solving Crime

Do you like crime related TV shows like CSI? Come and learn what forensic science is and how it is used to help solve crimes in real life.  This will include a hands on activity and will be limited to 30 participants.

 


Lecturer:

Charla Perdue, Forensic Scientist, FSU

 

Charla Skinner Perdue is the Coordinator and full time faculty in the FSU Crime Scene Investigation Major program within the College of Applied Studies located at the Panama City Campus.  She has a Masters in Criminology from Florida State University and a Masters in Forensic Science from the University of Florida.  She is a certified Divemaster and has earned graduate certificates in Underwater Crime Scene Investigation and Forensic Death Investigation.  She is a member of many forensic related organizations including the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, the International Association of Identification and the Counsel of Forensic Science Educators.
