At The Heart Of the Museum
Volunteers are an integral part of the success of our programming and operations. Our volunteers are a dedicated group of fun-loving individuals who find fulfillment in helping the Museum achieve its mission of inspiring appreciation for the region’s natural environment and cultural history. Ranging in age from 15-92, our volunteers are students, teachers, business owners, and a variety of professionals and retired professionals.
The purpose of the volunteer program at the Tallahassee Museum is to engage the community and enrich its members in areas of history and natural science through meaningful volunteer experiences. If you enjoy working with others, and have a passion for giving back to your community, please join our volunteer team.
To join, fill out the Volunteer Application Form and return it to the museum. You may email it directly to firstname.lastname@example.org. General volunteer recruitment occurs 3 times a year, in January, May, and September. For internships, youth opportunities, and corporate or group opportunities, these times do not apply. Please see each area for more details.
We are currently seeking special events volunteers for the Halloween Howl. If you are in a group, or are an individual seeking to help out with one of our biggest fundraisers, follow the instructions below to see the ways in which you may get involved.
