Administrative Operations Coordinator (Full -Time w/ Benefits)

The Finance Department is seeking an Administrative Operations Coordinator to join our team. This position is primarily responsible for supporting the role of the VP/Chief Operations Officer through the following responsibilities: Accounts Receivable/Daily Operating Deposits, Accounts Payable, Posting Journal Entries, Analyzing Accounting Reports and Data, Tax Filings, Inventory Oversight, Onboarding Employees, Payroll Processing, Coordinating the Café’s Operations and Managing the Café Leads, Filing, Light Helpdesk Duties, and assisting with administrative tasks as needed.

The candidate must have 4+ years of experience in Bookkeeping and Management. Plus a B.A. or B.S. from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field. The candidate must have the ability to transition smoothly from one task to another, work under high pressure situations and be able to meet deadlines. The individual also needs to be self-driven, demonstrate initiative and the ability to adapt to changing priorities, strong organizational skills and computer skills are required. Must be a professional team player, have the ability to multitask effectively and creativity in problem solving.

Cafe Assistant (Part-time; up to 29 hours per week )

We are looking for an energetic person who is excited about food service to join our Trail Break Café staff! Primary responsibilities include food production, maintaining impeccable food handing quality, preparing for catered events, working catering events as needed, and operating a point of sales system. Candidate must have outstanding customer service skills, the ability to multitask, excellent communication, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Preschool Teacher (Full-time w/ Benefits)

Seeking high-energy, enthusiastic team player responsible for building an engaging, fun, learning environment that promotes early childhood education in a classroom, museum and outdoor setting. Primary responsibilities include: Follow daily classroom schedule and write lesson plans to include teacher-directed learning, child-initiated activities, and quality outdoor time to include nature trails, wildlife encounters, and gardening, communicate with parents appropriately and effectively regarding students’ growth and progress, maintain a clean and safe classroom consistent with DCF health and safety standards, track children’s progress, supervise children at all times. Tree to Tree Adventures Course Guide (Part-time)

The position provides supervision, guidance, assistance, and exceptional educational and recreational experiences to individuals and groups of people as they participate on the Tree to Tree Adventures course.  Skills in climbing, belaying, working with ropes, and weather observation preferred.  Must be comfortable, able, and/or willing to operate at heights and perform rescues and assist functions associated with the course. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Must be able to speak effectively to different ages and in front of small to large groups and able to assess and diffuse difficult situations. Must be able to work and communicate effectively as a team member.  Possess the ability to work long hours and irregular shifts outdoors, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed and scheduled.  Contributes to an environment where customer service is a high priority.

Visitor Services Retail Team Member (Part-time, up to 24 hours per week)

We are looking for outgoing energetic people who are excited about enhancing our visitors’ experience through the sale of tickets and merchandise on our Visitor Services Retail Team. Primary responsibilities include direct interaction with our visitors and museum staff both in person and on the phone, maintaining impeccable customer service quality while selling tickets and merchandise using a point of sale system, as well as providing information about the museum and upcoming events utilizing the museum’s website and scheduling software and maintaining the visually appealing and inviting appearance of the Museum Store. Candidate must have outstanding customer service skills, retail experience, the ability to multitask, excellent communication, strong computer skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment as a part of a team. Estimated hours are up to but no more than 24 hours per week, must be available on weekends, and some evenings may be required as well.
