Summer Camp
Welcome to Tallahassee Museum Early Childhood’s Enchanted Forest Summer Camp!
Established in 1964, the Tallahassee Museum Early Childhood Program offers a 6-week nature-
filled summer camp for ages 3 and up to entering Kindergarten. Experience enchanting days full of playful learning on 52 acres of beautiful woodlands. Our Enchanted Forest Summer Camp will follow a daily routine emphasizing active forest play and child-initiated activities such as fort building, mud pie making, and costume dress-up. Every day will include two hikes/nature play through our wonderland of wildlife trails. We include plant/tree/wildflower identification, yoga, art projects, and bird watching.
Our Early Childhood summer camp is perfect for our littlest learners, who are potty-trained, to
get an introduction to an early childhood classroom and a daily routine with teachers in a nature-filled peaceful setting. Our camp offers Pre-K and those entering Kindergarten students a magical and enchanting summer during public school closure. Our 1:10 teacher-to-camper ratio allows our Early Childhood/Forest School Certified teachers, with degrees, to engage children and prioritize safety for the Museum’s youngest campers on our wild lands.
Early Childhood Campers need to bring/wear:
- Non-tie, closed-toed shoes (Velcro, etc.)
- Apply bug spray/sunscreen prior to camp
- Lunch and Afternoon Snacks (labeled with camper’s first and last name)
- Water Bottle (labeled with camper’s first and last name)
- Blanket for rest time (quiet time is 12-1:30)
- Change of clothes (labeled with first and last name)
Early Childhood Camp operates from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM Monday through Friday (we do not offer extended hours for our youngest campers).
Each week is a $250.00 for non-members and $240.00 for members.
