Current Positions Available:

Haunted Trail Actors -(Thursday, October 24, 2019; Friday October 25, 2019; & Saturday October 26, 2019; 5:00p.m-11:00 p.m.)  Responsible for scaring groups as they come through. Actors will be given a role, costume, and make-up for the nights of the event. If you have a special skill such as screaming, or have honed your skill as a particular character please let us know! All performers MUST be at the actors meeting on October 12, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. for role assignment, and costume fitting. Actors will also need to be at the final Haunted Trail Walk through on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. to go over rules & logistics. Contracted rate of $60 per night; Must complete I-9; preference will go to those working all nights.

On-site Membership Sales Associates (Part-time)

The Museum is looking for outgoing candidates to join our on-site membership sales team! Hours are flexible, but sales associate position is required to work mostly on weekends and some holidays (approx. 10 – 20 hours a month). Commissioned-based. Previous sales experience preferred. Housekeeper Job Posting (Part-time)

The Tallahassee Museum is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Part Time Housekeeper to join our team. Primary hours will be from 4pm-8pm Monday through Friday. The Housekeeper must be self-motivated and able to work well in a team environment or alone.  The Housekeeper will be responsible for keeping buildings in a clean and orderly condition. They will also perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls, and removing debris. Duties include gathering and emptying trash, cleaning countertops and other surfaces, cleaning windows and doors, restocking toiletries, pressure washing, performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of needed repairs, cleaning debris from sidewalk and other duties as assigned. Requirements: Two years’ experience in janitorial, housekeeping or a related field of work required.  High school diploma and/or GED preferred.  Must be able to lift and/or move 100 pounds. Café Shift Leader (Part-time)

The Tallahassee Museum’s Trail Break Cafe offers a one of kind employment! Situated in the heart of a history and science museum, the cafe offers guests a variety of meal options. This position oversees the opening and closing of the Cafe, along with following all food safety guidelines. This position tracks and maintains product and supply inventory, along with making orders as necessary. In addition, the Trail Break Cafe Shift Leader supervises the staff schedules and support the Cafe Manager in arranging staff needs for the cafe, catering, and rentals. This position will also assist the Cafe Manager in various duties of rentals and catering as needed. Café Assistant (Part-time)

We are looking for an energetic person who is excited about food service to join our Trail Break Café staff! Primary responsibilities include food production, maintaining impeccable food handing quality, preparing for catered events, working catering events as needed, and operating a point of sales system. Candidate must have outstanding customer service skills, the ability to multitask, excellent communication, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Estimated hours are up to 29 hours per week, MUST be available during the week, weekends and some evenings may be required as well. Visitor Services Retail Team Member (Part-time, up to 24 hours per week)

We are looking for outgoing energetic people who are excited about enhancing our visitors’ experience through the sale of tickets and merchandise on our Visitor Services Retail Team. Primary responsibilities include direct interaction with our visitors and museum staff both in person and on the phone, maintaining impeccable customer service quality while selling tickets and merchandise using a point of sale system, as well as providing information about the museum and upcoming events utilizing the museum’s website and scheduling software and maintaining the visually appealing and inviting appearance of the Museum Store. Candidate must have outstanding customer service skills, retail experience, the ability to multitask, excellent communication, strong computer skills and enjoy working in a fast paced environment as a part of a team. Estimated hours are up to but no more than 24 hours per week, must be available on weekends, and some evenings may be required as well.
