The following senior programs encourage memory exercises among individuals. Some programs inspire nostalgia through hands on activities with items of the past.  Each program is 45-60 minutes in length.

All program fees are for groups of 30 individuals. Group numbers must not exceed 30 total individuals. Another program will need to be scheduled.

These programs are offered on Museum grounds or at your site.

Available Programs

Artifacts Program: An educator will bring out an array of items from our Museum Education collection.  Participants are encouraged to ponder what these items would have been used for. The educator will share stories of these items, and encourage participants to share stories they may have about similar artifacts of the past. This program encourages the exchange of stories.

Butter-making Program: This program focuses on the history of butter making, as well as provides a hands-on experience for participants.  In the end, participants will take a bit of butter for themselves.

Quilt Making: In this program participants gather together to exchange quilt making knowledge, while crafting a piece to keep.  One of the museum’s resident folk artists will come with patterns and a little history of quilts for participants to explore.

Museum Experiences: All of our Museum Experiences for Any Age Group are available for senior groups as well, and can be found at the bottom of our programs list found HERE.
