Overnight Adventures

Ever wonder what goes on at the museum overnight?

Learn about cultural and/or natural history of the Big Bend region in a whole new way! Overnight Adventures are a fun and engaging way to experience the Museum after hours while also having the opportunity to sleep among its collection! Overnight Adventures are available for groups wishing to have a fun-filled sleep over experience at the Museum, and may be combined with an evening birthday party. The Overnight Adventure begins after Museum hours at 7:00 PM and goes until 8:30 AM the following morning. Overnight Adventure guests are welcome to visit the Museum the following morning at 9:00 AM when the Museum opens. Admission fees are included in your Overnight Adventure package.

Fees start at a rate of $500, which holds up to 15 individuals. Additional participants are $30 per person.

Information for Overnight Trip Coordinators

All Overnight Adventures Include:

  • An animal encounter with a nocturnal animal
  • A Night Prowl (guided tour of the Wildlife Trail at night)
  • An evening snack
  • A light breakfast
  • Dinner will not be served at an Overnight Adventure. Please eat dinner prior to arrival.

Scheduling an Overnight Adventure

An Overnight Adventure may be scheduled for any month of the year on Friday or Saturday nights, though week nights may be possible.  The maximum number of people for an Overnight Adventure is 50 people. A ratio of one (1) adult per five (5) children is required.  You may email the form to registrations@tallahasseemuseum.org ; fax it 850.574.8243; or mail it in with payment. Registration Policy

Prior to registration your group will need to designate a trip coordinator as the main contact person for the Museum. You will also need to designate a person as your first-aid provider. Once you have contacted us, a tentative date will be set for your group. When the museum receives your total registration fee, your trip coordinator will receive a confirmation of your Overnight Adventure.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that changes arise in scheduling and therefore allow for one change in date and time no less than 2 weeks prior to a reservation. A $25 administrative fee for program date/time change is applied to any change made in addition to the allowed change, or one that is less than 2 weeks prior.
If you cancel less than five (5) days prior to your Overnight Adventure date, there will be a cancellation fee equal to 25% of your total registration fee. There is no refund up to 48 hours before your date.
