Native Nurseries Birdseed Benefit

Jan 27, 2023 — Feb 02, 2023

Since the early 1980s, Native Nurseries has been sponsoring a winter Birdseed Benefit to support the Tallahassee Museum.

This year’s sale takes place from January 27th through February 2nd. Not only is all birdseed on sale (15% off), but 10% of all seed sales go directly to the Tallahassee Museum for the entire week! Seed may be purchased in two pound quantities through large 50 pound bags. Seed is fresh, of high quality and includes black oil sunflower, Native Nurseries Supreme Blend, Native Nurseries Custom Mix, white proso millet, safflower, thistle, peanut splits, medium cracked corn and more. All bird feeders, including Squirrel-Proof models, will also be on sale (10% off) during the benefit.

Native Nurseries will also host two events in conjunction with the Birdseed Benefit on Saturday, January 28th:

ATTRACT WILD BIRDS TO YOUR YARD! 10 a.m.

Chase Brestle is combining two of his most popular classes into one for this special session. Learn how to attract more and varied birds to your feeders, how to squirrel-proof them and what birds you are likely to attract this winter. In addition, he will teach you how to create a bird garden that goes a step beyond a mere feeding station, one that is both aesthetically pleasing and good for the birds.

WILDLIFE ENCOUNTERS WITH THE TALLAHASSEE MUSEUM! 2 – 4 p.m. FREE

Bring the children and visit anytime between 2 and 4pm for a close-up encounter with the Tallahassee Museum’s education team and wildlife. Hot cider will be served.

Both programs and the Birdseed Benefit Sale take place at Native Nurseries, 1661 Centerville Rd.

The programs are free. Save on seed and support the Museum!
