At The Heart Of the Museum
Volunteers are an integral part of the success of our programming and operations. Our volunteers are a dedicated group of fun-loving individuals who find fulfillment in helping the Museum achieve its mission of inspiring appreciation for the region’s natural environment and cultural history. Ranging in age from 15-92, our volunteers are students, teachers, business owners, and a variety of professionals and retired professionals.
The purpose of the volunteer program at the Tallahassee Museum is to engage the Big Bend community and enrich its members in areas of history and natural science through meaningful volunteer experiences. If you enjoy working with others, and have a passion for giving back to your community, please join our volunteer team.
To join, fill out the Volunteer Application! Once your application has been reviewed, we will notify you if the position you are applying for is available. Recruitment for new volunteers will occur 3 times a year in January, May, August. For university internships, please email the volunteer coordinator at least one month prior to the start date of the semester.
For youth volunteer opportunities, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note that anyone volunteering under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a chaperone.
